Branding is fairly new to China. Branding creates brand equity, which shows that branding is a long-term effort and not just the design of a logo or an advertising campaign. It is an economic value that can be measured in hard cash. Branding is about a comprehensive identity, image and brand awareness. It concerns the behaviour of the people involved and their actions in the broadest sense. It is about creating a long-lasting relationship between your target groups and your brand.
As Mattmo, we see ourselves as brand builders and create emotions using advanced forms of visual communication to help companies with their brand identity.
Design is an elementary means of visual communication. Design evokes emotions; design creates a higher sense of awareness and gives communication a unique dimension. Design surpasses its economical significance with a higher responsibility: it has a social and global effect.
Working multidisciplinary is inspiring to us. It breaks open rigid thought patterns and we see that innovation mostly occurs in the overlap of disciplines.
A design process requires intuition as input in addition to knowledge. The medium in which the design is applied is a vehicle with specific characteristics; it also defines the effectiveness of your communication. Each medium offers the opportunity to interact with the audience.
It is essential to perform research into the characteristics and the interaction of a medium in order to enrich our knowledge about the medium and enhance further insights.
The digital world has its own specific qualities and offers all kinds of new possibilities and opportunities: a new world to experience. In this respect the digital world is a source of inspiration. It offers new insights for our field of creation.
Mission Statement
Mattmo aims to realize projects that touch people's imagination, leave a lasting impression, give new insights and in a unique and structural way contribute to the perceptual values of an organization or a product.
Mattmo develops strategic communication concepts for a variety of organizations. We help companies, governmental bodies and cultural organizations in defining and disseminating their identity. Through the identity we bring out the core values of a company, organization or product.
Mattmo's concepts aim to initiate dialogue with internal and external target groups. Our target is to create identities and concepts that appeal to the targeted groups and help create a preference for our clients. And so we contribute in building our client’s brand and image.
Mattmo's design process is always based upon an authentic and appealing identity. We see the possibility to use our expertise and insights in design processes, like strategic and sustainable design, internationally in growth areas with intensive production and consumption. In these areas we would like to interweave the different cultures' motifs, crafts and knowledge with our own creativity and expertise and transform it from folklore into contemporary design.
Mattmo's self initiated projects often also concern social and global issues. We strive to develop our international projects together with local clients, producers and designers.
