The history of Mattmo starts in 1993 when Monique Mulder and Matthijs Tammes started their own design studio specialized in visual communication and interactive design in the centre of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Throughout the years they built up a well-established branding agency with more than 25 employees who provide cross-media and branding services to a lot of national and international clients like TNT, Heineken, Nike, L’Oreal, Institute of Dutch Architects, The Red Cross, City of Amsterdam and the Municipal Museum of The Hague.
As a team we are independent and progressive with a sharp opinion and a deeper understanding of design. We inspire each other and our clients. We are involved in strategic design and do not hesitate to explore new areas. With our experience in new media, positioning strategies and concept design, Mattmo has taken a leading position in the field brand communication. Our extensive interest causes us to work for all different lines of business.
Now also supported by (government) subsidies we have even more possibilities to conduct our research and development activities. We focus on researching visual notations, intuitive navigation, content management systems and narrative structures in an interactive environment.
Both in The Netherlands and abroad Mattmo frequently is invited to give lectures and publish on design and technology topics.
